How we write and review our content
mealPlan.fit publishes nutrition facts for Indian foods, research from our platform data, and pages about our software. This page explains who writes and reviews that content, where the numbers come from, and how to tell us when something is wrong.
Who writes and reviews
Content is written by the mealPlan.fit team, led by Gaurav Gupta (founder). Nutrition and research content is reviewed by Neha Gupta, a dietitian and co-founder of mealPlan.fit, before it is published and whenever it changes. Each reviewed page shows her name and the date of the last review.
Where our nutrition data comes from
Food values on our nutrition pages are per 100 g and come from the Indian Food Composition Tables (IFCT), published by ICMR’s National Institute of Nutrition. For foods that IFCT does not cover, such as quinoa or kale, we use USDA FoodData Central, and for packaged products we use the manufacturer’s label. Percentages of daily needs are calculated against the ICMR 2020 Recommended Dietary Allowances for a typical adult; individual needs vary, and our pages are not medical advice. Nutrition pages were last reviewed on 15 October 2026.
Platform data and research
Research pages use aggregated, de-identified data from clients managed by dietitians on mealPlan.fit. We never publish anything that identifies a client or a practice, and each report states its sample size and date.
Prices and product facts
Prices on our site include GST and are taken from the same pricing used in the product. Feature descriptions are checked against the live product; when a feature is limited to a plan (for example, Max), we say so.
Reviews and testimonials
We do not pay for reviews or offer anything in return for them. Customer quotes on our site are taken word for word from public reviews, such as our G2 reviews, and customer logos appear only with the customer’s agreement.
